Lafayette Real Estate is a new small Real Estate Company with local real estate expertise. Our focus is on the Lafayette and Boulder Real Estate market.

Our goal is to share our knowledge with our clients and to help them get the best price and terms possible, whether they want to sell their Lafayette or Boulder home or buy a home in this area.

We will provide you with outstanding service and you will always talk to your broker. There will not be any assistants with limited ability to answer your questions as is the case in many larger companies.

Our low overhead costs will allow us to list properties for less than most other companies and we can tailor our price to your needs.

Although our main expertise has been to help buyers we do realize that their is at least one seller for every buyer and that sometimes people need to both sell and buy a home at the same time.

We have therefore decided to expand our service to also include local sellers.

We will do everything we can to eliminate the potential conflict of interest that automatically comes with this way of doing business but as a small company we believe that the chance that one of our buyer clients would be interested in a house that we are listing for one of our seller clients is very slim. We will explain what options we will offer our clients to still be represented by their own agent if that would happen.

Our broker-owner Ulf C. Nilsson moved from Sweden to Boulder in 1994 to join his wife, a scientist with the University of Colorado. At the time, he worked as a software developer and project manager for various companies, designing and developing computerized administrations and networks. For the first years here he managed a project setting up and maintaining a network of UV-instruments, collecting scientific data.

He and his wife came to Buyer Brokers of Boulder, a buyer agency, when they decided it was time to buy a home in Boulder County. During his own buying process, he became acutely aware of the way a buyer's advantages are enhanced by having his own agent represent him in any real estate purchase. The concept was very much in line with my own values and philosophies. They moved in to a brand new house in Lafayette in February of 1996 and still live here in Lafayette.

When he, in early 1998, made the decision to change careers, his move into real estate and exclusive Buyer representation was a natural transition. His goals has always been to be a staunch advocate and caring ally and negotiator for his clients and to help them obtain the best price and terms possible.

Today's technology's have made it possible to do Real Estate in a new way and we have no problems handle all the new tools that are accessible, such as email, internet, scanning, digital photography and the web.

Ulf enjoys playing golf, skiing and travel and has the most fun when he does any of those activities together with his son Carl.
